Another great collaboration with Nuvo Homes, Insight Planning and Development worked with the client, Nuvo, surveying and engineering consultants to achieve a one into two lot reconfiguration, retaining the existing house on site and providing a new lot featuring a large contemporary new house for the owner. 

The site needed approvals for both reconfiguration and the new home. Insight Planning and Development brought the full consultant team together for the client, helping give them confidence as they undertake their first development project. Conditions were successfully included allowing construction of the new home to framing while the reconfiguration is underway, ensuring the site could commence building as soon as possible. 

The application was approved in 3.5 months, including one month of pubic advertising and the two week Christmas shutdown – a great outcome for a complicated development application process. 

Since the time of approval, the owner has judiciously managed carrying out the reconfiguration, with the development underway.
