The extension to the South Brisbane Sailing Club involved a new deck for accessible access into the facility, as well as new amenities built to ensure resilience from river flooding on the site.

While the extensions could have triggered a development application, Insight Planning and Development facilitated Planning and Heritage Exemption Certificate approvals for the works, drastically reducing the expense and time taken to gain approval. Works started in short order after the approval was received, ensuring club members can receive improved facilities without a high regulatory burden.
